Oracy Afternoon

On Friday, Year 3 once again welcomed parents and carers into school for a presentation afternoon.  This term, we chose to share what we have been learning in our science lessons.

The hall was set up with various different stations, each covering an aspect of the science curriculum that we have been studying.  Our theme this half term has been 'Animals, including Humans,' and we have been learning all about different animal adaptations, as well as good nutrition.

The event was very well attended and the children enjoyed sharing what they had learnt with all the different adults who visited their tables.  As well as consolidating their learning in science, sharing information in this way enabled the children to practise those all-important oracy skills, helping them to become confident speakers as they grow older.

Thank you to all the parents and carers who attended - your support is very much appreciated.
