3V were celebrating this afternoon, after being crowned Key Stage 2 poetry recital champions for their amazing performance of Roger McGough's 'The Sound Collector' at the fourth annual POSCARS awards ceremony.
The children had practised hard every day, really focusing on the onomatopoeia in the poem, and their performance on the day was word perfect. Mrs Roberts awarded them with individual prizes, as well as presenting us with a class poetry book for everyone to share.
