For our remaining science lessons this term, we are having fun with some practical experiments linked to some of the topics we have studied this year. This afternoon, we had a quick recap of different forces, looking at ways in which we could defy gravity (if only for a short while...!).
Working in teams, the children had to design and test a prototype paper helicopter, reviewing and refining their designs in order to create... The Ultimate Gravity Defying Machine. Their final creations were to be tested from the balcony in the hall, with the winning design being the one which managed to stay airborne for the longest time.
All the teams worked hard to design and craft their creations, and the final results were so close that Mrs Vaqueiro, Mrs Miller and Mrs Green were forced to declare a three-way tie!
Here are some photos of the final showdown!
