As part of our PSHE work this half term, we have been looking at how we work together with others.
Today we went outside to do some orienteering. We were put into groups with some children from our class and some from 3F. We were set the challenge of working together as a team to find the clues around the playground. Once we found a clue, we had to use an iPad to scan the QR code and then a letter would be revealed on the screen.
There were eight letters to find and we then had to unscramble the letters to make a word.
At the end of the session we discussed what we had learnt as a result of doing this activity.
These were the suggestions:
· It was important to work as a team in order to be successful at completing this
challenge.
· We had to demonstrate good communication skills within our group.
· We had to listen carefully to the instructions as well as to each other whilst completing the activity.
And lastly, we had learnt that orienteering was lots of fun!
