Gardening in 3V

Mr Batts recently challenged the whole school to grow a garden from scratch!  Each class was given a (rather overgrown) raised bed to cultivate with a selection of seeds.

We looked at the seeds on offer and chose a selection of bright summer flowers for our garden, as well as some radish seeds to provide us with a small crop of salad vegetables.  We also have chosen to grow red and orange sunflowers, nasturtiums and red cosmos.

We have started our seeds off indoors and will transplant the seedlings to the raised bed when they are big enough to handle.  We hope they will provide a brightly coloured display before we break up for the summer holidays!
